Miscellaneous Thoughts

What next...

Our 20 time project has currently come to a standstill at the moment due to matters out of our hands. We emailed all of administration with not a single reply. Mr. Heidt is going to try to email them and use some of his authority to notice our mission. We need all the help we can get. As far as the bottle cap collection has been going, we have yet to set up larger scale collection bins but have been receiving a steady stream of bottle caps from classmates and teachers. If this project was to be done today, I would not be satisfied with the outcome considering the fact that no mural has been made. We have worked together well as a group and some progress has been made but not enough to be comfortable with.

Our unofficial mentor for this project is Gigi's art teacher, Ms Elser who has expressed

growing interest in our project, has offered advice and suggestions, and has been giving students extra credit for bringing in bottle caps. She will be able to help us with the layout and design of our mural in a way that's pleasing to the eyes. Also, her enthusiasm for collecting signifies that she would be willing to aid in collection bins around the school, we just need to ask her about it first.

The next step in our project is to hopefully hear back from administration and make collection bins and spread flyers as soon as we get the OK from the big guys. I'll keep you guys updated!

P.S. Here are links to my two partner's blogs to obtain more of an understanding for Scraps and Caps!!
