Miscellaneous Thoughts

Slow and Steady Wins The Race

Going on week four, slowly but surely, progress has been made. So far this week, our group has settled on a theme for the mural and have decided on a tentative design. Our plan is to get all the designing steps done first that way it will be harder for the school to say no. Having physical evidence that we're working on something productive and have a direction we want to go in will look better to our superiors.

Gigi has acquired an unofficial "mentor" for our project who has already

given us good advice and support behind the mural. The art teacher, Mrs. Elser has provided us with bottle caps and advice on the actual art aspect of the project and we will soon be looking into help from the other art teacher at our school as well.

Its hard to narrow the million of questions I have about this project into only three but this is what I've come up with:

1) Who would we have to talk to in order to get permission to place the mural in the school or if all else fails, in Mr. Heidt's room?

2) Will the elementary schools be able to participate in the bottle cap collection and if so, how could we get them involved?

3) In what way can we maximize the amount of bottle caps collected in a short amount of time?

These questions are essential to the success of this project because it's all about organization. I lacked organization within my 20 time project last year and that ultimately was one of my downfalls. That's not going to happen this year. I'm going to make an impact.
