Weak 3

Okay so before I even get into this, the title pretty much explains it all. As far as progress goes, not much was made. I researched and looked more into the Philadelphia Mural Program and the Magic Gardens and felt really inspired. However, that's all it did. Inspired me to do nothing.

My next step is to find a mentor. Our group is probably going to contact the Philadelphia mural program to see if they have any tips or suggestions to help us make this mural meaningful or actually put it into action. A more local representative would be Mr Libby, the art teacher. He runs art club and they paint murals all around the campus that are beautifully executed, However, instead on focusing on the painting of murals, we want to focus on a 3D one. Our social issue would be recycling and the effects of pollution in our oceans. Gigi suggested the idea to collect bottle caps throughout the school and use those to portray the message that more attention needs to be brought to the dangers of pollution and neglecting to recycle.

I found a school in Los Angeles that did a similar project to mine in which they collected over ten thousand bottle caps and made an ocean mural. This inspired me immensely because everyone involved was extremely happy with the end product.
